Tracy Benedict
Tax Managing Partner • Co-Founder • CPA
Tracy Benedict is a certified public accountant with nearly three decades of experience serving and advising clients on tax, financial and other matters. Prior to forming Benedict McCabe, LLC, Tracy spent the first 26 years of her career at Ernst & Young, LLP, where she was Tax Partner and Austin tax market leader. Most recently, she was a Senior Vice President with Texas Capital Bank Private Wealth Advisors, serving as Private Client Advisor to deliver comprehensive advice including wealth advisory, personal trust services, and private banking to high-net-worth individuals and affluent families.
Tracy has spent her career serving a diverse group of clients including individuals and families, private entities, and public companies across a wide range of stages, sizes and industries. As a result, her clients benefit from a broad array of experiential advice on tax planning and return preparation/review, with dedicated assistance on achieving their goals and objectives and a strong commitment to an exceptional client experience. Tracy is excited to begin this new partnership where she and Matt will be solely focused on providing tax and bookkeeping services to individuals, families and their businesses.
When she’s not working enthusiastically with her clients, Tracy’s passions include spending time with her family including her three children (2 in college, 1 in high school) and husband of nearly 30 years, enjoying musical theatre performances, watching golf, and cheering on her beloved Longhorns in almost any competition!

Matthew McCabe
Tax Managing Partner • Co-Founder • CPA
Matt McCabe is a certified public accountant with 15 years of experience serving and advising clients with tax compliance and planning. Matt started his career with Ernst & Young, LLP in Austin where he was a Tax Senior Manager. Matt’s experiences include preparation and review of both business and individual tax returns as well as tax planning, particularly related to partnerships and their partners. Prior to forming Benedict McCabe, LLC, Matt worked for an Austin based technology start-up.
Matt values the role of being a trusted advisor. He has spent his career advising a wide range of clients at different stages, sizes, and industries including real estate, oil and gas, and venture capital. Matt prides himself on being an advocate for his clients and is passionate about investing in knowledge sharing and education for his teams and clients alike. Matt is excited to partner with Tracy in their new firm, a partnership that brings extensive experience serving individuals, families, and their businesses.
When away from the office, Matt can be found chauffeuring his three young children (10, 7, 3) to their many, many sporting and social activities. Matt and his wife of nearly 15 years enjoy traveling and spending time with their family at the lake when not on the baseball/softball fields.

Brian condron
Tax Partner • CPA
Brian Condron is a certified public accountant with over 15 years of experience serving and advising entrepreneurs, executives and family offices with tax compliance and planning for their personal, trust, family partnerships, foundations and closely held businesses. Prior to joining Benedict McCabe, LLC, Brian was a Tax Director at FORVIS where he led their Austin office’s private client practice, was a firm leader in Qualified Small Business Stock (Section 1202) and sat on the firm’s Blockchain committee.
Brian has a wealth of experience ranging from regional to global CPA firms, such as Ernst & Young LLP and HCVT, to having senior finance roles at both a single-family and multi-family office, where he oversaw the financial and tax reporting, planning, asset management, and assisted with the formation and due diligence for several in-house real estate, debt, and private equity funds.
When he’s not discussing QSBS planning, Brian’s passions include spending time with his family including his two children (12 & 10) and wife of 13 years, exercising, swimming and watching the kids compete at swim meets.
